Working principle of Hydro Turbine Governor:

Classification of Hydro Turbine Governor:
According to the applicable unit of speed, governors are classified into: impact governor, monotone, dual regulating. The impact governor applies to the impulse turbine unit; the drab applies to the mixed-flow turbines or axial flow turbine generator set; the dual governor applies to the movable propeller turbine and bulb tubular turbine with the adjustment of wheel blade.
It also can be divided into the mechanical governor (i.e., ST and T) , electric speed governor (DST and DT) , microcomputer governor (WST and WT) , etc according to their governing components.
