Introduction of vertical type generators
The generator and turbine are connected with one shaft, which is vertical to the ground. Generator stands above the hydro turbine, connected to the turbine through the main shaft, not be affected easily with damp.The features are small stator's base, high vertical height, low speed, more poles, salient pole type rotor, large size and weight of structure. Vertical type generator is widely used for large or medium hydro generator units.
