Theory
IPL device utilizes intense pulsed light acting on skin to generate actinochemistry and photothermy. The actinochemistry makes molecular structure inside collagen fibers elastic fibers of dermis take place chemical change, and skin will recover original elasticity. The photothermy could strengthen function of vessel and improve circulation, thereby it could remove wrinkle and shrink pore size. Besides, because pigments in lesions are much more than in normal tissues, the temperature in lesions will be much higher than in normal tissues after absorbing light energy. Utilizing the temperature difference to close vessel in lesion, break up pigment and remove unwanted hair. Therefore IPL is used for medical and beauty industry.
