- Press and hold stop bar. Rotate open until ratchet is completely free from cuffs. Place onto wrist. Press and hold stop bar. Rotate to close cuffs to desired tightness then release stop bar. (ratchet may be tightened as required) . The handcuffs are now locked. To release cuffs, press stop bar and hold while rotating until ratchet is completely free from cuffs and remove from wrist.
