Pizotifen: A 5-HT2A and 5-HT2C Receptors antagonist

Pizotifen is a serotonin (5-HT)[S0370] antagonist acting mainly at the 5-HT_2A and 5-HT_2C receptors. It also acts as a histamine receptor antagonist. In additon, pizotifen has been demonstrated its antiplatelet activity. Its hydrogen malate is used to prevent certain types of headaches such as migraines and cluster headache. (The product is for research purpose only.)
