Acrylic tube filled with water, ceramic probe is moist and can prevent outside air from entering ceramic probe. When measuring soil water potential and tension when there is differential pressure gauge, tension meter of water into the soil until it reaches a State of equilibrium, at which point shown on the pressure gauge value is the measured soil water potential of the soil.
